What Do We Offer?
Quality counts...
Organisation Unicorn nursery is divided into several rooms and children are organised into different age groupings. Each room is designed to provide age-appropriate activities and equipment to
promote children’s learning. Each room has a team leader – your child’s key worker, who will oversee his or her development.
We keep daily records which will give details of the day’s events and the care given by us. This will be given to you when you come to collect your child.
Regular observation
We assess and record your child’s ongoing development through observation, as part of the nursery day and we use this information to plan activities and
opportunities to meet your child’s individual interests and requirements.
Your child will have their own ‘special book’ so that we can exchange information with you about how your child is progressing.
Care and nurture
This is our prime concern. We want all our children to be happy and fulfilled whilst in our care. We seek only to employ staff with a genuine love of small
children.
Our Youngest Unicorns
For babies, many of whom are placed with us full-time, our emphasis is on care,
warmth and lots of smiles and cuddles. Daily routines are designed specifically
to meet the individual needs of the child, allowing them to develop at their own pace.

Fun and Discovery
As children start the process of preparing themselves for school, the emphasis is still on care, fun and discovery.
All children in our care follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
(EYSF) in order to support the development and learning of our children (See
Learning Goals at the back of this booklet).
